Victoria Graves Lee was born to Bishop B and Judy Vinz Graves on August 7, 1951. Her physical form passed from our presence on January 7, 2018 though her spirit lives on with us forever. Vicki is survived by her sister Terri “Pooky” Graves Johnston and her husband Mark, as well as two brothers James and Glenn, all of Baton Rouge. Vicki leaves behind “the love of her life” Richard Garwood, who will always remember her kindness and loving companionship. He will miss her dearly and remain the guardian of her memory. Vicki’s beloved best friend forever, Loretta Britt is ever held in Vicki’s thoughts and memories. Vicki was an accomplished artist, typesetter, voracious reader and lover of life until the very end. Vicki was noted for her style, grace and charming smile readily available for those she knew intimately as well as those she had the pleasure of meeting anew. Vicki was always ready to share a joke, a smile or a laugh with whomever she enjoyed the company of at the moment. She was a quite knowledgeable audiophile displaying a near encyclopedic knowledge of 1960’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s rock music. Vicki displayed a playful mirth and razor wit, keeping people on their best behavior when the occasion called for it and entertaining others when appropriate. Ever the inquisitive one, she always asked more questions than most and showed her general interest in people and their lives than she received in turn. Vicki was a loving, strong and valued ally in life. She is survived by her nephews: Brandon, Brent, and Brad as well as Blake and Aaron. Her niece, Ashley Graves Scott is mother to Dillon (Vicki’s deeply beloved Great Nephew). She loved all these fine young people with all her heart. Services will be conducted on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd (Florida Blvd at Sherwood Forest) from 9AM until Noon followed by cremation.
