Robert Blake Palmintier, raised in Baton Rouge and a resident of New Orleans, died on Monday, April 9, 2018, at the age of 41. Blake was the owner of Case Maker Multimedia and was an accomplished actor, editor, writer, photographer, videographer, director, and producer. Through his business, Blake helped and provided comfort to so many people. Although Blake loved his work, the main joy in his life was being a father to Cameron, who was not just his son but his best friend. Blake was the third of four children in a close knit family. From childhood on, he and his siblings were inseparable, sharing many adventures, travel, and laughter. Blake will always be one of the great loves of his parents’ lives. Blake had a magnetic presence that lit up rooms everywhere he went and he never met a stranger. He was a friend to many – generous, loving, and kind. He will be sorely missed by the countless souls he touched in his life. Blake graduated from Catholic High School, ’95, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana State University. He is survived by: his son, Michael Cameron Palmintier, of Panama City Beach, FL; parents, Laura and Mike Palmintier; brothers, Dominic Palmintier II and wife Lori, and Josh Palmintier; sister, Ellen Palmintier; nieces and nephews, Bella, Kate, Trip, Violet, Reise, and Rhodes Palmintier and Wyatt Pickering; and grandmother, Faye Vannoy – all of Baton Rouge, LA; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dominic J. and Betty Palmintier, and Robert L. Vannoy. Blake’s family wants to thank everyone for the amazing outpouring of support and sympathy. It comforts us to know that Blake was loved by so many people the way that he was loved by us. A visitation will be held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. until a funeral mass at 11:30 A.M., with a reception to immediately follow in the parish hall. A private family burial will take place later at St. George Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family has established the Blake Palmintier Memorial Fund at Capital One Bank as a scholarship fund for Blake’s son, Cameron.
