Margie Louise (Luther) Von Colln, “Mea-Maw”, treasured mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully at 90 years old on November 9, 2017. A longtime resident of Baton Rouge, she was born in 1927 in Bogalusa, LA to William and Bertha (Foy) Luther. Margie lived her life showing the grace of Jesus to all she knew. She had a gift for hospitality and loved welcoming all into her home. Her warm smile, sweet laugh and gentle ways will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Margie was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Von Colln; brother, Currie Luther; and grandson, Jason. She is survived by two children; William Taylor Von Colln (Lou) of Lake Charles, and Linda Terry of Baton Rouge; six grandchildren, Jennifer Terry Hotopp (Victor) of Prairieville, Melissa Terry Parvin (Eric) of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Taylor Von Colln of Dallas, Texas, Laura Church (Matt) of Lake Charles, Josh Von Colln (Kaitlyn) of DeRidder, and Ben Von Colln of New Orleans. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; a special cousin, Ann Haymon of Covington; and two dear friends, Patsy Cline of Baton Rouge and Salina Keller of Arlington, Texas. A graveside service will be held at Greenoaks Memorial Park on Monday, November 13 at 11 am. Pastor Ginny Allen of Fair Hope, Alabama will conduct the services. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Vincent de Paul Pharmacy.
