Margaret Cotham Broussard, a native of LaPlace, LA and a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on April 13, 2017 at the age of 91. She attended Leon Godchaux High School in Reserve where she was queen of the school’s carnival ball. She was secretary to the director of the student union at LSU for 35 years. She is survived by daughter, Kathryn B. Beall and husband Billy; sons, Martin J. “Buddy” Broussard Jr. and wife Lynne, and Richard A. “Randy” Broussard; grandchildren, Trey Beall and wife Shelly, Nicole Broussard Lewis, Jonathan W. Broussard, and Joseph Broussard; great-granddaughters, Brianna and Londyn Beall. She was preceded in death by her parents, HC and Elouise Cotham; brother, HC Cotham, Jr.; granddaughter, Marti Lynn Beall; also by her former husband, Dr. Martin J. Broussard. There will be a graveside service on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Metairie, LA at 1:00 p.m. There will be a memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Louisiana Lions Camp for Youth. Special thank you for loving care provided by niece Lisa Cotham and Shaletta, LPN at Heritage Manor.
