Audrey Vieth Cantrelle passed away Saturday January 6, 2018 at 85 years young. She was preceeded in death by her loving husband Armand Cantrelle, her parents Marguerite Heine Boyle, Harold Boyle Sr., August Vieth as well as her brothers Harold Jr, George and William Boyle.  Audrey, “Aud” or “Aggie”, was the loving mother of Norman Cantrelle (Dori), Angele Sanders (David), Phyllis Wilson (Scott), and Kristie Genzer (Kerry). Devoted grandmother of  Leigh and Brennan Boudreaux, Teresa and Brett Genzer, Jennifer Carroll (Basil), Jessica Pratt (Bruce), Anna Boyle (Joey), Kelly Jones (Dustin), Bradley Wilson (Jessica), Ryne Wilson, Nicholas Cantrelle (Courtney), Ashley Kenda (John Paul), Stephanie Collins (Ryan), Casey Cantrelle, Nathan Cantrelle (Courtney) and her 11 great grandchildren.  Mom was looking forward to meeting and holding Avery Wilson and baby Kenda this year.  She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and numerous good friends. Audrey graduated from John McDonogh in 1951. She was a resident of Arabi, Louisiana until retiring with her husband Armand to Diamondhead, Mississippi where they enjoyed both church and community service.  In 2014, they moved to Saint James Place in Baton Rouge, LA. Audrey was a longtime member of the Red Hat Society and active in Diamondhead Newcomers Club, Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus and the Ladies VFW. Aside from participating in these service organizations, Mom was seen to serve each person she met in a very special way. She left a mark on each person’s life by sharing a kind word, hug or kiss to everyone she met. She saw it as her mission to lift others up even when she was in pain or having a bad day. Outwardly, our Mom was a true light in our lives and the lives of everyone she came in contact with.  Our mother’s legacy was to be a Light for others such that they would shine much brighter than she.  We invite all relatives and friends to attend the celebration of Audrey Cantrelle to be held at Saint Aloysius Church, 2025 Stuart Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM followed by a Funeral Mass beginning at noon. Burial will follow at the Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary, LA at 1:30 PM. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 9062 Kiln Delisle Rd., Pass Christian, MS at 2:00 PM. To honor our mother, please wear your purple best. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Special Olympics, https://give.specialolympics.org/page/contribute/louisiana, Arc of Louisiana, Armand Cantrelle Memorial Charity Golf Tournament, P.O.
