Generations of Assistance

Rabenhorst Funeral Homes has a history of providing assistance to families. When our Government Street location opened in 1932, we had a nurse on staff to help care for the grieving family. At that time our new location was the city's first facility constructed solely to accommodate funeral services. It contained an apartment, complete with a kitchen and beds, so the bereaved family could prepare food and spend the night. Back then, transportation was a big factor, requiring longer lasting visitation periods before the funeral services.
Today, public customs have changed, but not our tradition of assisting the families with some of the details surrounding funerals. In that spirit, we have listed helpful funeral-related services and locations:
